To satisfy her customers’ requests for ‘something original for Valentine’s Day’, Fiona Penny at Sunflowers has taken the unusual step of flying in giant roses fresh from the Ecuador sunshine!
These deep red roses have extra large flowers and stems that are six feet long – and at £8.50 each, are a beautiful alternative to a standard bouquet of short-stemmed roses.
“At this time of year, I get lots of requests for something a bit different,” said Fiona. “With these gorgeous roses, you can still be traditional but just a bit bigger and with a little more style. And if you buy some Chococo chocolates to go with them, you’re also doing your bit for local trade because they’re hand made in Purbeck!”
