Leeds City Council's North and East Plans Panel approved the project which will see an expansion of the existing store by 10,000sq ft.
The expansion will include the replacement of a number of shops within the Horsefair Centre, this will include Barnardos, Specsavers, Superdrug and the demolition of the Seven Oaks Sound and Vision shop.
Parking at the Hallfield Lane lorry park will be expanded by 144 spaces and it will be free to use with a mixture of long and short stay parking.
A coach drop off point, new customer cafe and a new entrance will also be installed.
The council report stated that the proposals will introduce “further investment and growth into the area as well as creating jobs through the construction process and its long term use”.
