We had a leaking toilet system that came through our living room ceiling, Jim Standen arranged for one of his fitters Kevin to come round and promptly he fixed it for us. Not only was the service quick and efficient Kevin was polite and clean cut, (he removed his work boots without being asked), but the price was very reasonable and considered excellent value for money. The invoice was sent in the post with a stamped addressed envelope the following week. Wouldn't consider using anyone else now and would whole heartedly reccomend this company to everybody!

On 6.5.09, water suddenly began pouring through my kitchen ceiling. Jim Standen arrived within minutes of my telephone plea for emergency assistance. He immediately diagnosed a puncture in the expansion tank in the airing cupboard above and stemmed the flow preventing much damage. He then sourced and replaced the tank within an hour ensuring we were barely anytime without hot water. A first class efficient and considerate service .... Thank You!

During the cold snowy weather the gas valve on our boiler broke down. We phoned Standen's for help at 11.00am. They promised to visit before the end of the day as we were without heating. The promise was an immediate and positive response from them - no persuasion on our part. The engineer arrived, rapidly identified the problem, located the exact spare, collected it (30 mile round trip in the snow and ice) and installed it. This meant that he did not leave the house until 6.45pm

He was very pleasant and courteous, highly professional and efficient. The bill was reasonable as well.

Standens were first class in sorting out our heating problems. Very polite, efficient and considerate - definitely customer comes first here. A professional but friendly approach coupled with skilled craftsmanship and will to please, they take a pride in what they do and they do it very well indeed. Standen & sons came to my rescue recently when I discovered a leak - not only did they respond in record time, they fixed the problem immediately and efficiently, Then - when my boiler decided to play up - Jim came out and identified the problem and got it fixed.
