Warwick Lions present £2000 to Myton Hospice

At last night's meeting of Warwick Lions Club began with a 15 minute talk from Kate Lee Chief Executive of the Myton Hospices, based in Warwick.

 

She talked of their history, their plans and their increasing need for funds.

 

Lion Norman Winnett, chairman of Warwick Lions Club Beer Festival committee, presented Kate with a cheque for £2000 raised at this year's event. the Beer Festival will return to  Warwick Race Course on 13-14th July 2012.

 

Warwick Lions will be helping at Warwick Town Bonfire on November 5th.

The Lions will also be helping Side by Side Theatre at the Spa Centre on 22-3 November and helping to marshal at Warwick Victorian Evening on 24 November.

 

In December the Lions have a tin shake at Tesco on the 10th, their Tinned Food Collection on the 11th and are helping at Carols at Warwick Castle on the 17th.

 

Tickets for Warwick Town Bonfire (£3.50 in advance until 31st October or £5.00 at the Gate) also for Carols at  Warwick Castle are already on sale at the usual shops* or online.
