Warwick Lions Club 52nd Charter Night was held at Warwick Castle on Thursday 12 October thanks to the generosity of a past President.

A total of 50 Warwick Lions and guests walked in a group from the stables to the castle. They were welcomed by the Carnival Queen  Leah Jayne Townsend, Carnival Princess Mia Lane and Carnival Princess Lauren Pawlick to a drinks reception in one of the state rooms.

Later they were conducted to the Great Hall for a 3 course meal with coffee and mints.

They stood in silence in memory of Lion Barry Morris, a Lion with 12 years service who had died that week, before the short speeches by Lion President Norman Winnett, the Mayor of Warwick Coun. Elizabeth Higgins and Lion District Governor Paul Anstice, who also presented a 40 year award to Lion Charles King-Smith.
