Throughout the ages, Warwick Castle has undergone a variety of structural changes and was rebuilt in the 12th Century from being wooden motte-and-bailey into stone.
In 1978, the Castle was purchased by The Tussauds Group where it was opened as a fabulous tourist attraction.

We visited on Monday thanks to Merlins Magic Wand charity and paid to get back in on Tuesday, it was that good! A HUGE thanks to Mr.Archery guy (never got his name, he liked to shout a lot) who made the visits extra special, the kids are still talking about him! Out of all the attractions we have visited, Warwick staff have been the most pleasant we have met. Thank you! â 9th July 2011
Visited on June 18 and thoroughly enjoyed the day, even with the few showers. Even made it to the top of the towers without blowing any gaskets. I highly recommend this castle, and the town of Warwick, to all my friends who visit mother England.

Best day out with the kids for a long time, it was the best !!!!!!!!!! June 1st 2011
Went today with my two boys and it was a really perfect. The people and actors are fantastic and the Merlin attraction was great for the boys! They loved it when they got to talk to the dragon in the mirror. Also the people who work in the gift shops are fantastic too- very happy, chatty and friendly. I was amazed when one assistant in the shop by the entrance arranged for one knight costume to be brought up from one of the other shops when they ran out just for one of my boys. All in all 11 out of 10.
