It's all going on in Warrington

about us

By working closely in partnership with thebestof warrington, the newly launched It's all going on in Warrington campaign promotes days out and attractions across the town, from concerts at Parr Hall to a fun day with the kids at the museum.

The It's all going on in Warrington campaign was launched last year and aims to promote the rich cultural activities the town has to offer.

People in Warrington really are spoilt for choice when it comes to events and activities, with such a great range of venues, initiatives and organisations working together to invest in the town's future.

It's all going on in Warrington is now working closely in partnership with the team at The Best of Warrington to promote local events and get our fantastic community involved with them. This is the perfect partnership at thebestof warrington loves nothing better than to shout about all of the great things going in our town!

Visitors the vibrant and jam-packed events page are also invited to add their own events (for free!), allowing you to promote what's happening in the community to thousands of local people. It's really easy to add your own event: just register (also completely free and you'll access to lots of great benefits), add the details and leave the rest to us!

Both venues are perfectly situated in the centre of Warrington's Cultural Quarter and regularly attract well known names from the world of art and entertainment, including the Vienna Festival Ballet, Jimmy Carr and Jools Holland!

As well as the superb array of professional performances on offer, the Pyramid hosts a great range of community classes and workshops. With everything from salsa and belly dancing to life drawing and crafts, there really is something for the whole community to get involved with.

These activities include volunteering in the local community, annual events, the English Half Marathon and involvement in the London 2012 Olympics.

Walton Hall and Gardens

Walton Hall is set in 30 acres of beautiful parkland and is a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of the town, whilst still only being minutes away from transport links. The hall is steeped in connection with Alice in Wonderland author Lewis Caroll and it's wildlife, gardens, golf club, zoo and outdoor games make it the perfect day out for the whole family.

There is so much going on in Warrington but most of the time people are just not aware of it. I hope this campaign will encourage the local community to get behind all activities in and around Warrington and support local organisations. Well done.

My personal thanks to the Parr Hall Pyramid team...I am not surprised by the hospitality extended to us [but] it is very much appreciated and [the] least I can do is acknowledge that the team did go the extra mile.
