Anything that requires batteries or a plug to operate is classfied as electrical or electronic.

Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) is one of the fastest growing waste streams; around 1 million tonnes of WEEE is thrown away in the UK every year.

WEEE contains valuable metals, as well as plastics and other materials that can be recovered through the recycling process and used to make new products.

Broken or unwanted waste electrical items from computers to friges, hairdryers to washing machines of TV's to toasters can be taken to your local Reuse and Recycling Centre
