The Girls Venture Corps was formed in 1964 following a merger between the Girls Training Corps and the Women’s Junior Air Corps. Air Cadets was added to the title at the request of the membership in 1987. Today our membership is open to young women between the ages of 10 – 20.We offer a number of awards and activities to our cadets. we offer training in the theory of aviation up to the level of privite pilots licence. aswell as the chance to study snowsports and develope there skills in skiing or snowboarding. Cadets will be offered a number of opertunities to travel overseas. we provide other fun activities such as crafts, archery, canoeing and rifle shooting and the Duke of Edinburgh’s award to those cadets aged 14 plus.We meet every Tuesday evening from 6.45-9.30 at Emmanuel Church, Bentley, Walsall. The highly trained officers, NCO's (young leaders) and civilian volenteers provide a fun programme apropriate for the age groups of the cadets. Call 07846 386 687.
