A Walsall self defence club are launching a special ladies only self defence workshop.
Sparta Krav Maga, who train weekly at the Aldridge Social Club on the High Street in Aldridge, are holding a special workshop on Saturday 27th April called Stay Away. The workshops are designed to empower women in self defence skills.
"We are in the heart of the community" explained lead instructor and club owner Paul O`Connor who runs Sparta Krav Maga. "We believe that women should feel safe on the streets of Walsall and wherever they walk with their families. The Stay Away workshops are the best in the world."
Sparta Krav Maga is part of the International Krav Maga Federation (IKMF). Krav Maga is a self defence system that is for all. It is used worldwide by armies, police and civilians. It is a self defence system that integrates simple and instinctive moves accessible to all.
"Combatting potential violence including sexual assault requires a set of easily learned skills" explained Paul O`Connor "to help you to protect yourself. These workshops for ladies only are designed to equip women with those skills and give ladies the confidence to use them".
Sparta Krav Maga also hold classes in Brownhills, Rugely, Burntwood and Walsall.
