Local martial arts students answered the call to clean up Aldridge Social Club
With just one week left until nominations close on Wednesday 17 April, time is running out to recognise the unsung heroes of the West Midlands who are making an impact in their local community.

People across Walsall are being encouraged to nominate a volunteer who is making an impact in their local community, for special recognition as part of a new campaign celebrating the history of the West Midlands.
A reflection wall has been created at Walsall Manor Hospital for staff, visitors and patients to share their memories and thoughts associated with the COVID-19 pandemic as part of a national focus being held this weekend.
Forty Walsall patients have taken part in a national study to evaluate how well people recover from day case surgery at home.
"In the world we live in, life is moving faster than ever. With mental health and wellbeing, being compromised as a result" says Walsall poet Cheryl Ann. "Anxiety, depression, PTSD, lack of confidence, fear amidst young children. It needs to change!"
