This was our first visit tonight and I felt compelled to come home and write a review. We went as a party of four. we were meet by a very friendly waitress who took us straight to our table. All of the waiters that looked after us were very friendly and attentive. We all had starters which were excellent. Two of us had filet steaks that were cooked to perfection and massive , the kind of steaks that you only get when you go abroad. Although we would have liked a desert we were too full. I asked if I could take home a desert and that was not a problem. I am looking forward to that later. Overall value for money was excellent, I would have actually paid more for that food and the service. Looking forward to go again soon.

We have been to Da Vincis several times and always had a lovely meal. Staff are very polite and can never do enough for you. Having been to many Italians in Birmingham etc this beats them all by a mile. Also the steak is a lot better than miller & carter and cheaper!

Don't know the restaurants around Aldridge so after reading the reviews decided to try it out. Forgot it was on 1st floor so elderly be aware many steps and toilets downstairs. However meal was excellent value and appeared home cooked. Well served and staff attentive without being impolite. Will go again.

Our first visit saturday evening, meal was booked for 7.30 for 5 of us.The restaurant was already full, staff were very attentive, we thought we might have to wait awhile, but this wasn't the case.
The lamb was very good value and plenty of it,canelloni good portion, the chicken dishes tried by the other members of our party were nice and plentiful too, didn't get chance to try desserts too full!

Another TA review based selection.
Quick search and first review "Go for the steak" Great advice. Amazing fillet, cooked to perfection.
What a great restaurant. Super staff, really good, friendly service but most importantly; excellent food.
Not fancy but definitely good value decent wine list at sensible prices.
Liked Da Vincis.

I would agree with most of the reviews on here that this must be one of the best restaurants in terms of value for money. The quality of the steaks are incredible and all staff are very friendly. Yes it could be a bit more polished around the edges and some of the other dishes are hit and miss but I would challenge anyone to find a better steak for 15quid anywhere. See you soon!

Having my first experience at Da Vinci's last Friday night was brilliant. Even though there was a full house and was a very busy atmosphere the staff kept to the highest of standards.
Having had the three course meal along with my family having chose various dishes I had the advantage to try a bit of everything.
The food was as succulent as described, and having asked to have my steak medium cooked was understood perfectly and tasted to my perfection.
I could not fault the night, as occasionally in most restaurants on Friday's the standards of food may vary due to being busy but Da Vinci's could not be faulted.
Staff were great and food was exceptional. Which made the evening positively memorable.

No,they don't have fake Italian accents, what the do have is good food and wine at a very reasonable price.I have dined there with friends, from a party of ten to only two of us.Nothing in my opinion is too much trouble for the manager and staff. One example was to send out for brown bread,as that is the only sort my friend can eat.The set mid week menu is great value £15 99 for three very substantial courses and a bottle of wine per couple, what more could you want from a midweek night out?nothing in my opinion.

First time at Da Vinci's
Firstly the staff are absolutely fantastic, nothing is too much for them, they were very attentive. The attention to etiquette was noticed by my partner, she stated that there were no gaps.
The food was ( now this makes me feel bad because everything else about the place is top notch )based on price was ok, but it's not for a special occasion, there was nothing jaw dropping about the food.
My dish was just ok!!! No cream in the cream sauce! Basic's!! My partner was picking a few bones from her sea bass, not a biggie but when your having a romantic night out you want it, for a night out to remember, for instance my other half didn't like having to put bones on the side of her plate whilst we spoke!!Please don't get me wrong the experience was ok and was priced for your pocket, but for a special night out there are other places in Aldridge that whilst the staff are poor the food is jaw smacking

I have visited Da Vinci on several occasions now and will definitely visit again next time I am in the area.
The food is great and is really good value for money and the drinks are not vastly overpriced as they tend to be in lots of restaurants. The staff are all friendly and helpful and even though there is usually a few months gap between visits (I don't live locally or I would be there more) they always remember us.

We visited the restaurant having heard good things about it from a relative to try the 'Sunday special - 3 courses for £9.95 per person - and weren't disappointed.
We ordered a range of starters: The Costolette Deliziose (ribs in a rich orange sauce) got the thumbs up from myself and my elder son and was very tasty and filling. My younger son son had a lasagne starter which again was full of flavour. My wife had the melon starter which was - well- honeydew melon.
For mains, two of us had the duck which came with a delicious mushroom and red wine sauce. The duck itself was ok, but well done (to be fair, the waiter had informed us this would be the case before we ordered). I had the chicken, stuffed with ham and cheese which came with broccoli , cauliflower and new potatoes - very filling. My youngest son chose the Spicy Calzone
- an enormous portion stuffed with chicken, salami, and meatball with an flavour-packed bolognese sauce.
The desserts we chose were the cheesecake, apple pie with ice cream and the chocolate fudge cake, all very tasty and finished off the meal nicely. The one minus here was that the apple pie pastry was a little soggy for having been reheated in the micro rather than an oven.
For drinks we ordered a bottle of house chardonnay which came in at a very reasonable £10, along with a bottle of Peroni and two cokes.
All in all, this was excellent value for a total of £56 for four people including drinks and olives and bread. If you're looking to celebrate a family birthday or perhaps for an alternative to the usual Sunday options of a carvery or a curry, you shouldn't be disappointed. We'll definitely be going back soon.

Treated my mom to our first visit to this restaurant today Tue 30th July and I am pleased to say it was fantastic. We had the lunch time special menu for £6.95 for a starter and main (or just £2 extra for a sweet). I had the meatballs to start which consisted of four meatballs in a tomato sauce topped with melted cheese (a meal in itself). Mom opted for the pate which consisted of two decent slices and a small side salad with a slice of orange. For the main we both went for the Spaghetti Neapolitain with chicken (not listed on the web-site menu at time of writing this review) which was a very light tomato/cream sauce...Delicious. Mom could not resist the desert of crepes with two scoops of ice-cream with a strawberry and couple of blackberries (again not listed on the web-site menu).
Both the waiter and waitress were very friendly and attentive so all-in-all it was a truly enjoyable visit and we would definitely go back again.

Friends have been here and given good reviews so I was surprised to be disappointed by the food. The presentation of the prawn cocktail looked unprofessional, the duck was over-cooked and the mushroom sauce totally overpowered the flavour of the duck, and as for the 'lemon cheesecake', well it was more like a mousse! All in all a very disappointing evening. I won't be going again.

Visited for my sons birthday on a Wednesday evening, my wife and son had the midweek special, both had the Prawn salad starter, who knows what the bright red sauce was on the prawns but all you could taste was vinegar. The main meals were fine apart from my Chicken Amalfi, which was meant to have Parma Ham in it, it had thin sliced ham inside, this was bought to the attention of the head waiter but he insisted that it should be normal ham, better amend the menu then! This is the fourth visit to this restaurant, general the food is very good but theres always been a small niggle every visit, will think again before coming here again.

Da Vinci's has become our favorite local place to eat out. My family love Italian food so we tried it out a couple of years ago and we have been going back on a regular basis. Their set menus mean you can afford to go more often. The Sunday night £9.95 4-course menu offers a good choice, but we have gone a la carte on special occasions and enjoyed the sea food. After a recent holiday in Rome we went to Da Vinci's to try out our Italian but non of the staff could speak any! However the staff are always very accommodating, especially with the disabled members of my family.

I have eaten here a few times now as it is close to where my Father lives and convenient for taking him out when I am visiting.
The staff are always friendly polite and very helpful and the one time I did have cause for complaint the manager was very apologetic and assured us that the next time we went in the same thing wouldn't happen (and it didn't).They serve good tasty food at reasonable prices. We shall be back next time I am home.

This place has been here for a few years now and is an absolute gem! I go here every time I am back home and I am always impressed. The staff are polite and attentive, the food is served quickly and tastes great! A good price too. Highly recommended.

Pro's-
-Lovely looking restaurant. Decorated to a lovely standard created a great relaxing environment. The main restaurant being upstairs was a nice touch as it meant seeming fully separate from the takeaway part.-friendly staff. We were a large party on a busy Friday night, however the staff were always attentive and we were never made to feel rushed. Personal touches such as helping us cut and divvy out a birthday cake and providing a custom meal for a fussy child eater made a lovely difference and seemed no trouble at all.
-Set menu for about £15.99 which included 3 courses each and a bottle of wine between every 2 diners was great value for money and each course was delicious. My favourite desert of profiteroles were really really yummy!
Cons--although the food was lovely, some more traditionally Italian dishes such as pizza or spaghetti would have been a nice addition
Overall verdict-
Great price and equally great service make it worth a visit.

I recently visited da vinci's with a friend and we was very delighted with how we was treated by all members of staff. We found the food very good and would recommend to anyone. It was a friendly environment and therefore will be returning. There was no faults with any of our food or our evening on a whole.

After reading reviews we thought this would be a good experience for a birthday treat. However, the bread preappetiser was dry and olives only given when pressed. The offer of free house wine was misleading as when we asked for a house rose it was not available as the restaurant wanted to use up surplus red and white; at the admission of a waiter. The prawn salad starter was poorly prepared and the prawns underdone. The spaghetti in 2 of the mains was overcooked and soggy, only small 3 meatballs were given for a main course which was not enough. The creme brûlée's were tasteless and topping was lacking. The profiteroles were not covered in chocolate sauce as they should have been but were coated in a chocolate butter cream, this rendered the dessert sickly and heavy. Finally the cheesecake of the day (lemon) was poor quality and obviously bought in. All in all we would have rather stayed at home!

Visited with 4 friends. Great atmosphere and friendly and attentive staff were helpful and made sure our drinks were kept topped up.

Quality ingredients ensured great food at every course.

Have booked again for another evening out in the near future and would definitely recommend.

The set menu on Valentine day evening was well worth £16.95 , for main I had the fillet steak and this was just delicious ,it came with a mix of veg. The restaurant was busy but no hold ups at all. Well done once again DaVinci's.
