I can only comment on the golf course as I did not eat or stay here, but the course conditions were really quite poor. Admittedly there had been some rain, but the fairways were swamps and were honestly like playing out of the rough. Think in the summer when it's dryer this would be a nice course as the location and setting was nice, as were the staff, all helpful and friendly. But the course has room for improvement.

Attended a Peter Kat tribute night with great entertainment. Food was nice but simple but room was freezing cold, many opting to leave their coats on!
No table service for drinks which would have helped during the show.

Its great food is top class people very polite good all round go there and try it you wont be dissapointed Went there yesterday not as good as befor veg not cooked hard as iron and not very hot beef was loverly and tender go and try it and hope the veg is cooked properly still nice staff

We know that we can always rely on Calderfields to host a successful event for us. We have been using the venue for many years to host our network meetings and they have always run seamlessly. The staff go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect and the food is always fantastic. Dan and his team really care about delivering the best possible service.

Food & drinks: Ive always praised Calderfields Sunday carvery but have to say disappointed today. Firstly, no Malbec wine which is offered on the menu, Chef was not generous with the meat and I felt quite unfriendly.
Cauliflower cheese and Broccoli quite hard in fact undercooked.
The sweets as we informed the waitress were a joke to be honest. The eton mess sundae had one strawberry, 4 tiny bits of meringue , a tiny scoop of ice cream and dollop of cream. It should be layered but this was not. The profiteroles were still frozen in the centre. Very very disappointing today.
I just did not feel it was value for £20 a head plus drinks today.
