Welcome to Bloxwich, Leamore & Blakenall Business Partnership

Working in partnership with the people of Bloxwich, Leamore and Blakenall

Bloxwich Business Partnership works alongside Walsall Council's District Centre Management Team and local businesses, community groups and public sector organisations with the common aim of improving the prosperity and vitality of Bloxwich town centre.

The partnership is active in five key areas:

Partnership Development and Business Support: developing the business partnership to enable it to deliver and support a range of projects to improve the vitality and viability of Bloxwich town centre.

Environment: establishing and maintaining a high quality, attractive environment for all who shop, work, visit or live in the town.

Community Safety: establishing a safe and secure town centre environment for all who use it, and for all business and property owners within it.

Events and Marketing: marketing and promoting the town centre to shoppers, visitors and potential investors and developing a positive image.

Regeneration: improving the business mix and regeneration in the town centre by encouraging new development and investment.

Becoming a member

Membership is open to anyone who supports the aims and objectives of the partnership, in particular businesses in the town centre, landlords and local community organisations. Representatives of Walsall Council, West Midlands Police and West Midlands Fire Service are also actively engaged with the partnership.

2011 Achievements

Bloxwich Business Partnership has been engaged in a number of high profile projects in 2011:

Heart of England in Bloom: Bloxwich town centre entered Heart of England in Bloom for only the first time this year and was very proud to receive a Bronze award, only missing silver by one point! The partnership and its members have been involved in a range of environmental initiatives including tree and bulb planting projects, permanent planters along the High Street, gateway improvements, planting two new Christmas trees, and creating a community orchard.

Special Events Programme: the partnership has organised several special events including an Easter, Summer and Christmas festivities to increase awareness, footfall and spend in the town centre.


Bostin Bloxwich Booklet: is distributed to over 10 000 local residents and highlights the excellent range of shops and services, facilities and events available in Bloxwich town centre.  The booklet is paid for by the businesses featuring and Bloxwich Business Partnership and is produced twice a year.

Cuppa for a Copper campaign: Bloxwich Business Partnership, Walsall Council’s District Centre Management and the Police launched Cuppa for a Copper in September to combat crime in the town centre. Businesses in Bloxwich have installed a poster in their shop window advertising their support for the campaign and that the police may be inside at any time having a drink with the staff.

The business partnership meets approximately every 6 weeks. Meetings are held on Wednesday evenings, commencing at 6.00pm, in Bookmark Bloxwich Library, Elmore Row, Bloxwich WS3 2HR.. The meeting dates for 2012 are:
