After training for around 3/4 years I joined Sakura and was welcomed immediately, from the surreal environment, friendly training partners and supportive coaches they have everything a MMA gym could offer, having a massive quality training space is another great bonus that shouldn't be overshadowed, Now having been training for 5 years and experiencing my fair share of gyms I'm proud to call this gym my home.

Dave the main coach (professor) of the academy is an absolute gem, he's always in my corner (and other students) at competitions, consistently providing top tier coaching advice, and is possibly the most humble and welcoming person you could ever meet (he's really just a BFG)

Not only this but Sakura boasts having the likes of Jake Hadley, Jack Humphries and Vaughan Lee training and coaching within the MMA/Ripper academy, who all possess a superior understanding of the sport.

To anyone, beginners, starters or even the more advanced practitioners, I could not recommend this place enough. This isn't just a gym it's a family, and you will be treated so accordingly.

We had to make the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye to our nearly 15-year-old husky this morning, and I honestly can’t thank the whole team enough for how they looked after us.

From the moment I called, the receptionist was so kind and understanding. She told us to come straight down, and that small act of compassion meant more than she’ll ever know.

When we arrived, the vet was already waiting for us and had a quiet room prepared. Throughout the appointment, he treated both us and our dog with such genuine care, dignity and respect. He never rushed us, explained everything gently, and gave us all the time we needed to say our goodbyes.

Something that meant so much to us was being able to leave through a private exit afterwards. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made an incredibly difficult moment just that little bit easier.

You never want to find yourself in this situation, but if you do, I can’t thank this practice enough. Every member of staff we dealt with showed kindness, empathy and professionalism when we needed it most. We will always be grateful for the way they cared for our boy and for us in his final moments.
