The insurance on my RX8 was due on the 7th July, so, I rang my, then current, insurance broker to renew. When I eventually got through, they said that as I was a day late, they would have to re-quote. No problem I thought – until I had to answer every question they already knew the answer to. Type: of car, colour, engine size, address, etc. Then they hit a snag – they would need to ring back in 5 minutes.
They rang me back on my mobile and I answered all of the security questions, again, only to hit another snag. They would ring me back. Ten minutes later, they rang my mobile again. I had to answer the same security questions again – it was the same person ringing my mobile! By this time I needed a large drink – and to cap it all, even if everything was okay with the quote, it would take another two hours to get me cover. I said that I would ring them back!
So, instead I rang Cheers Insurance – what a difference! I spoke to a person first time, they took my details, they gave me a quote (same company as the other broker but cheaper), and when asked how soon they could cover me, they said this minute.
So, easy and so painless - just how I believe business should be conducted.
