Larkins Brewery, near Tonbridge, has been making real ales for over 22 years and was established in 1986 after taking over the Kentish Ales of Tunbridge Wells Brewery and Ashford Green Brewery.
Larkins was named as such after moving to the Larkins farm in Chiddingstone, a picturesque village near Tonbridge. (Also home to Chiddingstone Castle and the Castle Inn Public House and Restaurant.)
The Larkins farmland originally belonged to Theobald and Luvekyn in the 13th Century and was subsequently bought by Bob Dockerty proprietor of Larkins Brewery from Hever Castle.
None of Larkins real ales are bottled. Larkins real ales are purchased by independent Public Houses and restaurants within a 20 mile radius of the Brewery.
