CONQUER THE GRAND CANYON AND RAISE LOTS OF MONEY
An excellent fund raising experience in aid of St Luke’s Hospice, caring for people with life limiting illness in the Basildon & Thurrock areas

This challenging adventure takes you through the heart of the Canyon to witness at first
hand this awe inspiring land, leaving you with a sense of accomplishment, and a true
appreciation and love of the grandest place on earth. Some say you haven’t lived until
you’ve taken a journey through Grand Canyon!
Suggested itinerary
Day 1: Depart UK
Day 2: Warm up trek 3-5hrs, 300m descent and clim
over Hoover Dam and into the high desert of Arizona.
Day 3: Descend into the bottom of the Grand Canyon
Approx 16km (10 miles) , 6-7hrs trek, 700m descent
Starting at 1645m, the trail begins with switchbacks from
here, the canyon walls seem to grow all around us as we descend deeper into the
labyrinth of red sandstone
Day 4: Trek to the very centre of the Grand Canyon
Approx 14km, 8-10 hours trekking, 150m climb and descent
We continue down the canyon jump the 5m from the main falls into the frothy pool below.
Day 5: Adventure in the “Gem of the Grand Canyon”
Approx 14km, 5-6 hours trekking, 360m climb and descent
Today’s challenge takes us up canyon to a hidden side cleft in the cliff wall where we will
be guided to the Tonto Platform, a broad rocky terrace between the Supai sandstone
and the red wall limestone
Day 6: Ascend from paradise
Approx 16km, 5-6hrs trekking, 700m climb
Trek back up to the canyon’s rim.
Day 7: Overnight flight to UK
Day 8: Arrive UK

If you are unable to commit to go yourself consider one of your employees (the whole Company could raise funds)
Alternatively, as a business you may just wish to offer t-shirt sponsorship for one of our trekker for £150 we will put your logo on our shirt and take a picture on the trek for you to see your sponsored person trekking along the tough routes.
