From the minute the men came round I knew they were going to do a good job. As I was building my own house I was hesitant to call in just any double glazing firm as you hear so many horror stories. Anyway, I needed not to worry, their elderly rep was just magic, he had obviously spent many years in the trade and was quick to put me at ease advising me on what the latest spec was and what was allowed within my planning permission. They then made up all our windows and doors and came out and fitted them to suit our other trademan.I would certainly use them again ,A first class job.

We have used Acorn in the past - for a variety of jobs from small to large - and always received good and courteous service.

This time, though, they excelled themselves and have transformed our home with their windows and doors.

I called in to a well known Basildon glass merchant a couple of weeks ago and whilst the salesman was pleasant his prices were unrealisticly high as possibly they have almost the monopoly here in the town.I then called in to Acorn Windows and asked them if they could quote on this piece of glass they made a quick call and my glass was ordered like for like but for £72 plus VAT,not the £152 The glass merchant wanted.It was delivered a week later. I received a phone call from Andrew Hurrell about a pressing internet problem at Acorn Window Services, Basildon. Acorn Windows are reliant on the internet like many companies and wanted me to see if I could solve their internet connection issue. A new Netgear router was required and Colin, the owner of Acorn Windows, popped down to PC World and picked a new one up straight away. 10 minutes set up and the internet was fully restored. Acorn Windows were a delight to deal with and everyone was extremely friendly and we agreed that I would look at some other IT work in a week or so time. I would highly recommend dealing with Acorn Wndows and look forward to my own company, Billericay IT Solutions working in partnership with them in the future.

What a great company to deal with, not your usual double glazing company. From the moment their representative visited to give us a price the service was fantastic. I made changes which they were all too happy to deal with on 13 windows and 2 sets of french doors, I do have very high standards which they met everytime. The installation team were great nothing was too much trouble and their workmanship was second to none. The after sales care is fantastic as well and they are extremely competetive on price.

My advice - if you are thinking of having windows or patio/french doors installed then look no further, I am so glad I used them. Sue & Tim

The thing I like most about Acorn is the relaxed sales approach. I was worried about getting a quote because I didnt want to feel pressured into signing up for anything there and then, but it wasnt like that at all. I received my quote in the post the following day with a follow up phone call from Acorn to make sure I had received it. The price was very competitive. The service I received before, during & after the installation was outstanding. I would recommend Acorn to family & friends anyday!

I needed a cat flap fitted in our wooden backdoor, I wasnʼt sure if Acorn would want such a small job. What an excellent service, they popped in to access the door, came back the following day, the cheerful fitter put the cat flat in in no time at all. He even cleaned up after himself. Thank you Acorn Windows what an excellent service even for a small job like a cat flap. I certainly recommend you.

This is our 4th installation by Acorn - this time we had a conservatory refitted. Colin and his team always provide practical advice, without the hard sell tactics, in fact, lets be clear, there are no pressure tactics at all. All of Colinʼs recommendentations made sense and various requests for information were no trouble at all. The fitters (Wayne and Luke) were exceptional, turning up on time and even working on a saturday (their request, not ours) to complete the bulk of the work. The fit went very smoothely.

It is rare to deal with any company that offers value for money, a quality product, friendly advice and service, but Acorn offers it all. Needless to say, I have no hesitation recommending Acorn to family and friends.

Colin, just dropping you a line to thank you for our new windows and street door installed last week.

The window fitters arrived on time every day and have done a fantastic job of fitting the windows, mess was minimal and any mess that was made was all cleared before they left at the end of each day, I was particulary impressed with the windows in the kitchen, downstairs toilet and bathrooms, as these rooms are fully tiled. No tiles were broken during the removal of the old frames.

I consulted a number of companys for quotes, your quote was the lowest, however it appears that the quality of the windows and professionalism of your staff is not compromised by the price.

I would have no hesitation in reccomending your company to anyone.

I will be in touch with you later in the year when I will be ready to replace the back door and patio window.
