I have found the following qualities in my dealings with Peter Clarke Painting and Decorating: 1. Excellence: Peter has always done the job as well as it could be done, and if it isn't right, then he will make it right, without trying to charge you for doing something that should have been done properly in the first place, although in my dealings with him, I have never had to pull him up on anything he has done for me. He is a former Decorator of the Year. 2. Knowledge: Peter is a third generation painter and decorator, who taught many of the other painters and decorators on the island, and has forgotten more about his trade than most will ever know. Some people think that anyone can paint. This isn't true. It takes time and experience to learn how to do things to a professional standard, and there are certain mistakes that badly trained painters or amateurs will make that will end up costing far more than employing a professional like Peter in the first place. 3. Diligence: Peter cares about doing the job well. He has pride in his work, and he doesn't consider the job to be done until you are happy with it, and it is very important to him that you are happy with the work he has done. Not many tradesman can say that they have never had a customer that wasn't happy with their work. Peter can. And he will go the extra mile to get the job done to your satisfaction. 4. Respect and Fairness: Peter and his lads will put in the hours, when necessary, to get a job done within a timeframe, if at all possible, and no one who thinks they can spend the day talking on the phone or having endless tea breaks will work for Peter for very long. He respects his customers, their requirements, their money, and the fact that he is in their home. 5. Helpfulness: Good trades men know other good tradesmen. If you need a good joiner, bricklayer, plasterer, electrician, plumber or carpet fitter, Peter will be able to recommend someone to you. 6. Professionalism: Peter runs his business in a truly professional manner that is not common amongst tradesmen anywhere, let alone on the Isle of Man. On a personal level, Peter could not be more pleasant and accommodating to work with.
Peter Clark came to my rescue when my apartment in Douglas was flooded and needed completly redecorating just a few weeks before the TT. Despite being already very busy he not only did a fantastic redecoration but he organised everything else besides, e.g. hiring a dehumidifer, removing furniture that had been destroyed. I do not live on the Island but Peter made my apt. habitable again and all on trust thatIi would pay him! He is a first class decorator and I would unreservedly recommend him to anyone. He is totally reliable and will go the extra mile to help anybody. Anyone who uses his sevices is to be congratulated.

We have a holiday house on the Island and the decorating service that Peter provides is exactly what we need. Once we have discussed the basics with Pete about a room, he will organise and coordinate all the tradesmen that will be involved from start to finish, and it always seems to run like clockwork with professional results down to the last detail.
Peter managed the external redecoration of our entire apartment block in Port St Mary during the summer of 2010,along with some internal redecoration as required. Peter also recomended and supervised the other ancilliary trades that were needed. I have no hesitation in recommending Peter Clark and his colleagues to anyone in search of high quality decorating services. From start to finish Peter and his team displayed superior workmanship and attention to detail which is often hard to find in this day and age. Faced with decorating a room which had not been touched for over 15 years in a former Government property dating back to the late 1940s, Peter and his team were completely unphased by a somewhat daunting task. From start to finish of the project they were efficient, courteous and quiet and always on time.
