There are those who live with physical disability, and it is specifically to offer support to disabled people that the Manx Foundation for the Physically Disabled charity was set up in 1974. The Manx Foundation for the Physically Disabled is the second oldest charity in the Isle of Man.
Disability Services offered include:-
Day services with a wide range of activities
'Young Ones' - aimed at developing skills in the community for 18 to 45 year olds
The Access Office - this the primary point of contact for advice, guidance and education on issues affecting disable people on the Isle of Man.
