Around 9.45pm on the evening of Sunday 4th December 2011 a resident was out walking her dog at the end of Urley Path near to Anagh Coar School when her dog was attacked by a Rottweiler dog which was roaming the streets without an owner.

Fortunately the ladies dog only suffered minor injuries but it could have been so much worse particularly if it had been a small child attacked by the dog.

Police would like to hear from any Rottweiler owners who live in that area, anybody who may have witnessed the attack or anybody with information about the dog responsible and its owner.

All information will be treated in the strictest confidence.
