It’s looking like a pleasant weekend and week ahead, weather-wise, so here’s our quick round up of some of the many things to do in Inverness and the surrounding area:

For some family fun on Saturday, why not visit the RNLI Lifeboat Station Open Day at Craigstone Point, North Kessock? Open from 10am till 4pm with demonstrations and lots more, it’s all for a great cause.

If you love your garden then Inverness Horticultural Society Open Flower Show at Inverness High School could be the perfect weekend destination - open Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

In business in the area? The Share the Craic Lunch at the Ramada Encore, Inverness on Wednesday provides an opportunity to meet like-minded people in an informal setting.

On Thursday, Dicksons of Inverness are holding a preview event for the all new Nissan Note, so if motors are your thing, then give them a call and go to have a look!

Dating success and understanding the opposite sex are the subject of an evening being hosted by Singleness at the Ramada Encore on Friday evening from 7pm till 9pm.

And finally, for the music lovers, the Highland Chamber Orchestra will be performing one of their popular Sunday afternoon concerts at The Pavilion in Strathpeffer on Sunday September 1st 3pm till 6pm.

Whatever you decide to do, have a great time!
