Just to let you know our latest – we were asked to take our chip van at the Gloucestershire Farmers Club Gluten Free Food Fair last Saturday to serve Gluten Free Fish, gluten free sausages and Chips. We sourced the gluten free batter from our usual suppliers and sourced the sausages from a supplier who was at the event.   It was a very successful afternoon as we served over 200 portions of gluten free fish and chips. The visitors were very happy that we were there as some people due to being Coeliac hadn’t eaten fish and chips for over 5 years and one lady’s 11 year son who loves battered sausages but hadn’t had one since he was diagnosed 2 months ago. We managed really well with the number of people that wanted our food. Last Saturday was also a record amount of  sales of fish and chips in one day as, as well as the food fair, we had a wedding reception to cater for later in the evening where we served another 100 portions of fish/sausage and chips, plus we were catering for a BBQ garden party for 60 elsewhere. A very good day all round !

The profits are going towards a brand new frying range for our trailer as our old one is now looking old and worn out after the two years of service. This is a very big investment but  we need to have confidence that all our equipment is top notch to cope with our full diary until October. This is largely due to us being on the front page of google for mobile fish and chip vans in the area due to your marketing and the positive testimonials that people can now read about us. So thank you to you and your team !

Our next big day is 23rd July where the chip van is attending the Bretforton Proms which is always really popular and on the same evening we are attending a birthday party for 300 to serve  fish and chips cooked in a catering tent. I didn’t want to turn this one away as aswell as the large number of people attending the party, the organizer is a the owner of a local marquee company so she will be able to recommend our catering to her clients. Luckily we have a good team of people to help us be in more than one place at a time !

We recently got married a month ago – Usually this is a time to keep diaries free. Not us the evening before our wedding I was serving fish and chips at Moreton and then at a retirement party for a Doctors surgery in Pershore. I got home at 11pm ! Then for our big day our team were kept very busy doing the catering for our wedding with a 3 course sit down meal and ofcourse the chip van was there for the evening food which went down a storm especially with the lovely weather ! Plus one of our chefs was out at our regular site Moreton in Marsh caravan club site doing a BBQ for their special anniversary celebrations. After this bbq having served over 100 people he then picked up his family and whizzed over to Worcester to cook the fish and chips for our evening do!

Needless to say there is no time for a honeymoon at the moment but will hopefully we will get to go away at the end of September leaving the team to run the show !
