Residents within the borough of Telford and Wrekin can now benefit from FREE basic computer and IT sessions for beginners.

The sessions are ideal for anyone who wants to learn how to use a mouse and keyboard, saving to files and folders, surfing the internet, emailing and finding their way around computer icons. Telford and Wrekin residents can take advantage of up to six hours free one to one help at four borough libraries.

They are available at Southwater, Wellington, Newport and Madeley libraries and sessions can be arranged to suit people’s diaries.

Councillor Liz Clare, Telford & Wrekin Council’s cabinet member for Libraries, said: “These sessions offer people a helping hand to improve basic IT skills and are completely free of charge. It’s a great opportunity for anyone who doesn’t have the knowledge or confidence to use technology to brush up on their skills.

“Don’t forget – everybody was an IT beginner once!”
