The History
Bought from the Crown in 1544 by Robert Brooke who was later to be elected Speaker of the House of Commons, Madeley Court saw many owners and many changes, as it grew from its original beginnings over several hundered years. Abraham Darby, builder of the worlds first iron bridge - now home to the thriving community of Ironbridge in the Severn Gorge, was a tenant of Madeley Court and spent his final years in residence before his death in 1717. The Mill at Madeley Court
Lying adjacant to the main building but with its own private access, the grade 1 listed 16th century Mill provides an idyllic setting for your wedding reception and banquet. Benefitting from its own kitchen and bar area on the ground floor and featuring a faithfully restored and refurbished first floor banqueting suite, it is available for wedding parties of up to 175 guests.
The Mill is also a perfect venue for Conferences and Events and can seat up to 175 delegates in a variety of settings and layouts. The Priory Restaurant
