The Telford Twisters Trampoline Club's 5 values... 'Belong, Respect, Inspire, Succeed, Enjoy' sum up everything that this family-friendly club stands for.
Situated at Hadley Learning Community in Hadley, Telford Twisters is a club dedicated to providing competitive and recreational trampolining to people of all ages and abilities throughout the Telford area. Built upon a history of excellence, the club has always been true to its community-based focus; ensuring that access to the club's facilities and coaching are available to all, regardless of excessive social or financial constraints.
The boundless energy of its ever growing number of volunteer coaching staff, 3 of whom are qualified to coach people with disabilities, ensure that the club continues to have a great spirit of fun in a safe environment, whilst coaching performers up to regional and national standard. Being a 'GymMark' accredited club effectively ensures that all pastoral and safety governance is in place for children and helped secure a £10,000 grant from Sport England to purchase 2 international standard trampolines.
This year the club finished runners-up in the Telford and Wrekin Active Lifestyles Awards for 'Community Club of the Year' and were short-listed for the equivalent British Gymnastics award. They have also been short-listed for the Energize Shropshire Awards, again in the category of 'Community Club of the Year'.
Trampolining is a low impact, low stress workout for the body. 10 - 20 minutes trampolining is equal to approximately half an hour of jogging! Because the trampoline bed absorbs some of the shock of impact, there is no strain on the joints. A repeated low impact exercise builds and strengthens the bones and muscles which results in toning, better balance, co-ordination and good posture.
Trampolining is a great investment in your young and adolescent children. They may think they're just having fun jumping on the trampoline, but you know that their body and mind are getting a great workout. A growing number of young adult performers develop their management, communication and social skills by taking on roles and responsibilities within the club and becoming mentors for the younger gymnasts.

I have coached for Telford Twisters for 12 years and thoroughly enjoy it. The club is well organised and provides a friendly and supportive environment for children to learn new skills. The club offers recreational sessions and sessions for squad members that compete at Regional competitions. We have an excellent group of coaches qualified up to the highest level. Telford Twisters really is a highly successful club that is committed to promoting and developing trampolining in Shropshire providing an opportunity for children of all ages to take part and make new friends.
Would highly reccommend this club. My 10 year old son does not mix very well in social situations but would not miss this club for the world. The coaches are fantastic and have helped him overcome his nervousness and finally enjoy being part of an active club. There are recreational sessions as well as the squad sessions and there is no pressure for anyone to compete if they do not want to.
My son is 8 years old and he loves trampolining. We have found the club very friendly and fun. He has competed in the Regional competitions and enjoys the atmosphere. The children are allowed to develop at their own pace and do not have to compete unless they want to. He is also taking part in the SSTA competition (Shropshire Schools Trampoline Association), which the club supports promoting the sport within schools. After seeing how much fun he had, I had to have a go myself at the adult trampoline sessions. It has been so exciting to learn some of the moves my son can perform. Would recommend that you give it a try!!!
This club is fantastic, it offers a very friendly welcoming to parents and children. My daughter has been going for 12 months now and enjoys every session. The have squad and recreational sessions, which is great, their is no pressure on the kids to go into the competition, unlike other clubs. The coaches and volunteers are always happy to talk to you and give guidance. The Telford Twisters team are wonderful, would definately recommend it to all. Very excited about the zumba class on sunday, which is part of the core conditioning for the squad on sunday. Parents can attend, FAB!
