I was very impressed at the service given by Ami Leigh when I checked in. The young lady obviously noticed that I was wearing an external hearing aid in each ear. She correctly anticipated that in spite of wearing these aids, that I may still have difficulty with clearly hearing some voice tones. So each time she spoke to me, she looked directly at me, square on, rather than talk and looked at a keyboard for instance, and spoke very clearly. I assume that she may have thought I may be lip reading. As it happened, I cannot lip read but because of her actions I was able to hear her very clearly and the whole check in experience was very pleasant. Can you please pass on this message to her and the manager because I think she deserves a big pat on the back.

I spent two nights here for a wedding last week with my wife and two children and feel compelled to give this hotel a glowing report. The service from front desk to cleaning was top notch. As I have worked in the hospitality business I understand the challenges of hotel customer service and am more tolerant than most. But the service here was well above the norm, especially the front desk staff that could not have been more helpful and even though we spent little time in the hotel, they remembered who we were. Rooms were great, good size and two double beds, very clean and a great shower and bathroom, breakfast was excellent and served with maximum efficiency and minimum fuss. Hotel is also in a very convenient location just minutes from the motorway but very quiet. Parking was ample as well. We didn't use the leisure facilities as we didn't have time much to my children's annoyance but it looked very good.

I just thought I’d say big congratulations to everyone. I had nothing but great feedback! Everyone who worked in the kitchen did very well to get the wedding buffet out (not much waste from that) also for the bar and restaurant food that was ordered everyone was very happy with it so well done. Ricky on reception was spoken highly of and was told he had a great temperament. Thanks to Chris who helped run restaurant while I ran in between that and the bar areas. Andy was also spoke highly of and not forgetting the bar staff who did very well with the wedding. Comments were made by rooms 319 and 225, who also had a great night of Friday despite having to wait while the German students had their meal and I was told we made their weekend! Once again thank you guys!

My children and I have just had another fantastic weekend at Grays Hotel, and I would just like to say that your staff were once again just brilliant! It is the little extras that make all the difference, and my son was just so thrilled to find our room had banners, balloons and a small present to mark his birthday – absolutely priceless, and I just can’t thank you and your staff enough for being so thoughtful and kind. I have no doubt that such moments will remain with them for the rest of their lives; I know that both Libby and Alex look forward to their stays in the Hotel, and it isn’t just because they are with their Daddy! Once again, a massive thank you to you and your staff.
