Nic of Doors to Floors has undertaken a number of jobs for us over the last 2 years, ranging from door fitting, boardin loft and installing loft ladder and the latest being designing and installing a bespoke desk and storage unit for my home office. Nic is very meticulous about his work and I would not hesitate in recommnedning him.

My wife and I moved into a newly built house, downsizing from four to three bedrooms, hence having a lot of stuff and not much space in which to put it. After making good use of the local tip and charity shops we identified the need to have the loft fully boarded. Nic Irvine was recommended to us by a family member and so contact was made. From that minute until this moment in time we have never regretted him doing the work, boarding the loft and putting up curtain rails, mirrors, bathroom fittings etc. He initially produced a detailed quote, we talked about options and after a week or two Nic was able to commence. Throughout his time with us he worked in a thoroughly professional and polite manner, the quality of his workmanship was first rate and my wife and I are extremely pleased with the finished product. I have no hesitation in recommending Nic Irvine to anybody and everybody, you will not be disappointed with either his work, his manner or his prices. Thank you Nic!

Nic Irvine did not provide the cheapest quote I could find for a problematic stable door conversion (at my old property) I had in mind. What he did provide however was an impression of confidence that the quality that he would lend to the job would be the best that could be found. The job actually took him two solid days, whereas all others stated that it would take only one hour (or less). Most would have used packers to correct the problems with the door hanging frame, althought Nic expertly replaced the actual part of the frame that was out of alignment. What I am left with now is a quality stable door that looks great, has not been bodged, fits and closes to perfection and will still be in perfect order in many years time. It is a treat to find someone who takes so much pride in their craft and I am very pleased that I went with Doors to Floors Joinery

I can confirm that you have done two quite complex pieces of work for us - re-designing an existing front door according to our specifications which included creating three new windows to the door, and also fitting three antique doors into door openings all of which were different and all not quite square. The work was done impeccably. You seem to have a van equipped for every possible situation that you could meet on any job
