Donald and Melanie are proud to have worked and continue to work with some of the World-leading dance coaches, many themselves World Champions and having coached others to be World Champions. That doesn't mean that their classes are too advanced for you - simply that their aim is to teach people to dance properly - not just to learn steps or routines. With their expert tuition and skills, they will teach men to lead with confidence and ladies to follow with elegance, and you can be sure that you'll always be taught by qualified and experienced professionals who can really dance! They aim to create a dance community where families and friends can spend time together, meeting new people, and being involved in this healthy activity whilst learning a lifetime skill.
For children especially, dancing is an alternative hobby that encourages them to socialise and work with the opposite gender. They learn about teamwork; it helps to build confidence, aglity and much more. Donald and Melanie hope to search for and train potential future dancesport champions - from all ages and levels.
Dance with Music started back in 2004 with the aim of encouraging more people to learn to dance, and from small beginnings, Dance with Music has developed into a thriving dance community where all ages and levels are catered for:
Initial absolute beginners classes to multi-level classes that suit different people
Adults of all ages, singles & couples, and kids as young as 4
Dance classes to private lessons for social dancers, to wedding couples, to medalists, to competitive dancers
Social evenings, Summer and Christmas Balls and trips to dance events
Medal tests, medalist competitions, inter-school competitions and open championships

Ballroom and Latin American Dancing
There are many forms of dance that became popular for brief periods throughout history such as; Rock & Roll, Lambada, Line Dancing, Belly Dancing, Salsa, Pole Dancing, etc...
Ballroom and Latin American Dancing have been popular for many years, not just since the popular TV show 'Strictly Come Dancing' brought dancing into everyone's home each week. Ballroom and Latin American Dancing cover all aspects of dance - posture, movement, balance, musical interpretation, partnering skills, etc... meaning it is a more coherent way to learning how to dance. Many Ballroom & Latin American dancers find it easy to adapt to the "renegade" dances, whereas dancers who only learn the single format dances will usually find it difficult to replicate this with Ballroom Dancing.
What dances are covered?
Starting with very simple learning steps of Waltz, Cha Cha Cha, Rumba, Social Foxtrot, Quickstep & Slow Jive, you'll then learn Samba & Tango and you can expect to be 'up & running' within the first few weeks. Probably after 6 months, you'll progress to 'syllabus steps' on the rest of the dances. Classes cater for all levels - so you don't need to worry you'll get left behind.
Private Lessons
Whilst Dance Classes remain the most popular and economical way to learn to dance, by far the best and quickest way to learn is to have Private Dance Lessons. These can be tailored to your needs and specific abilities and it's not just for serious dancers - it works equally well for Social or Hobby dancers as well.
The First Wedding Dance
After spending time and effort on detailed preparation and rehearsals for every single part of your wedding, the thing that usually embarrasses the happy couple is the first Wedding Dance (along with the speeches)! Why not be fully prepared for this situation and learn to dance in readiness? Imagine the reaction of your guests as you take to the floor and give a sparking, confident performance! Dance with Music will provide the lessons - they'll even specially arrange a dance to your favourite piece of music - but don't leave it too late! You probably won't turn into World Champions overnight.
