Olivia writes..."Over the past month, the Wallington High School for Girls’ Young Enterprise team, Distinct, has had a fantastic four weeks filled with sales, inspiration and collaboration.

One of the first events on our November calendar was Silicon Valley Comes to the Houses of Parliament, where we, along with other Young Enterprise groups from around London, had the extraordinary opportunity to hear talks from leading industry experts on business and development, see presentations from previous Young Enterprise winners, and shares ideas with other teams from surrounding areas. This event gave us all a great deal of inspiration for the forthcoming month and fired us up to stay motivated and focused, despite having some difficulties in finding card printing manufacturers.

Another milestone in the Distinct history for this month was our surprisingly successful fundraising event. For a week, our dedicated team sold adorable fluffy phone charms in a variety of colours at local fairs and at school. The sale of these proved to be vey popular, especially among year sevens where we seem to have started a new trend.

We have also been in contact with various card manufacturers and successfully designed and tested our Language Playing Cards, though we still have a long way to go until Young Enterprise success. All in all, this has been a very productive month for us, and we hope to keep it up into the New Year."
