A business which runs outdoor play sessions for children using stories and imaginative props has undergone a stylish rebrand – with the help of Sutton Coldfield agency Adventure Graphics.

Graphic design and web agency Adventure developed a new brand and website for Imaginations Run Wild.

Imaginations Run Wild were seeking a new brand that reflected their values, which include embracing nature and igniting a passion for the environment.

Owner Yvonne said: “As a primary school teacher, I could see how important it was for children to engage in the outdoors and get the chance to physically engage with the stories and books we were looking at - especially after the pandemic.

“The seeds for Imaginations Run Wild were sowed using story stones and interactive trails initially. As well as the story element, we have grown to encompass our environment (especially at this critical time), so I felt that my branding did not quite tell the full story, so I got in touch with Adventure.

“They worked hard to understand what I wanted to achieve and managed to bring all of the elements into a new logo and brand that reflects who we are and what we are about.”

Penny Kay, marketing and projects lead at Adventure, added: “We had been following each other for a little while on Instagram, and we really loved the ethos of Imaginations Run Wild and the focus on child-centred, outdoor play and using a book as a theme for each session.

“This was something close to our hearts as parents of an autistic child, and we have also seen the benefits of this type of approach with our own son. It is so important to use their imaginations and bring things to life.”

As well as the focus on their child-centred, structured approach, a huge part of Imaginations Run Wild is their commitment to sustainability.

The company reuse and handmake most of their resources. Their sessions are also based around developing a sense of appreciation and responsibility.

Laurie Graves, website and graphic designer, said: “It was essential that we bought in the emphasis on nature and also pay tribute to the children's cognitive and social development as well.

“There were also lots of other elements like books, sensory, interaction etc that we wanted to convey so we created four different icons as well that can be used as part of their branding, and together, we think they do tell the ‘whole story’.”

You can find details of Imaginations Run Wild Play Sessions on their Instagram page @imaginationsrunwild2022 - and soon you will be able to book online at their new website.
