On the evening of Thursday 23rd February The Best of Stratford hosted an event in aid of a local charity. The event was exclusively for our clients and held at The Arden Hotel, Waterside, Stratford upon Avon.
The theme of the evening was 'Making 2012 and Beyond Successful for Your Business'. With this in mind we had a great guest presenter - Tony Atkins from Commercial Advantage Training. Tony also gave up his time free of charge and was both an informative and entertaining speaker.
The chosen charirty was the Warwickshire Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA) who were represented by Jo Payne. The WNAA receives no government funding and relies on donations and monies raised by individuals and organisations.
None of the businesses present (including the best of Stratford) made a penny from the night. All monies and time were donated freely and happily.
Not only was this a chance for some of the best local companies to get together with like minded businesses, it also was a chance for them to show their support for the WNAA.
In the press at the moment there is a lot of negative coverage of businesses, from sharp practice to greed. This event highlights the fact that there are still a number of businesses who have integrity in all that they do - being successful in business as well as caring about the community that we live in.
A big thank you goes to The Arden Hotel's General Manager Jason Adams and Sian Smith (Business Development Manager of the Eden Collection) and their team for their excellent hosting.
Thanks goes to the following for their attendance and support. In alphabetical order:-
Daniel Buxton - Daniel Buxton Photography
Mark Barrow - Second City Electrical
Phil Archer - Standard One Property Development
Katrina Hall and Sharon Archer - Stratford Acupuncture Clinic
Iqbal Chowdhury - Thespians Indian Restaurant
Michael Littler -Wellesbourne Airfield
