Being in and around Stratford town centre on a regular basis I often see some sort of exotic vehicle either parked up or cruising past. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be behind the wheel?
This week I had such a chance when I was given access to a Bentley Continental Salon ( full title 6.0 W12 Flying Spur Speed 4dr).
This car is a materpiece of engineering, build quality and style. The 6.0 litre engine develops 600bhp, more then enough to pin you to your seat when you put your foot down. But it also has more comfort and mod cons than most hotel rooms. Thick carpet and leather line the interior, every extra you can think of was present, from front and rear TV'S to heated and cooled seats all around.
However the sheer size of the car - over five and a quarter metres long and nearly 2 metres wide - meant that manouvering through narrow streets in a vehicle worth £150,000 plus was nerve wracking. Perhaps if I could afford such a vehicle I would employ a chauffeur!
