It seems that Boris Johnson the mayor of London is a little confused as to the birth place of William Shakespeare. In a recent letter to voters in the capital he describes Shakespeare as "a pretty great Londoner"
At the launch of his book ( Masters of Nothing) Stratford MP Nadhim Zahawi was able to correct the errant mayor and reiterate that Shakespeare is definitely a Stratfordian.
Whatever next? Manchester honouring its long lost son Leonardo Da Vinci?
