Great British Dog Walk for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People - Lyme Park

A sponsored walk to transform deaf people’s lives Hearing loss is rising. This invisible disability has devastating impacts on people’s safety and mental health. Take part in this 4km or 8km sponsored dog walk, and raise funds to train more incredible hearing dogs who alert to life-saving and important sounds and break down social barriers for deaf people. Sign up today and you’ll receive a FREE dog bandana, and every penny you raise will help deaf people to leave loneliness behind and reconnect with life.

This is a great opportunity to explore the stunning grounds of Lyme, which is cared for by the National Trust, whilst changing the lives of deaf people.

There will be fun activities to do along the routes with our exclusive walker pack and games to enjoy before and after the walk, so get your tickets and we look forward to seeing you there! National Trust members – every time you scan your membership card at the gate you’re helping to look after Lyme so please bring it along, regardless of this being a separately ticketed event. Parking at Lyme is included with your event ticket.

Walk start time: Mass start at 10am. Registration from 9:30am-10:30am.

Who: Walk in a big group of walkers and dogs or with your family and friends.

Cost: Adults: £12 online (£15 on the day), Children (under 16): free

Distance: 4km (approx.) shorter but challenging route or 7-8km challenging route.

Sponsorship: The money you raise through your Great British Dog Walk will help create more amazing hearing dog partnerships that transform deaf people’s lives. There is no minimum sponsorship amount and if you don’t feel you can raise sponsorship, then please consider making a donation when signing up or on the day.

Terrain: Please note the routes are over varied terrain and some areas can be uneven with some steep inclines. Some paths have stiles therefore neither route is suitable for buggies or wheelchairs. There are accessible parts of the venue which could be visited by those with mobility issues, separate from our walk routes.

Parking: Parking at Lyme is included free with your Great British Dog walk ticket. On arrival you will be directed to the designated parking area.
