STUFF has been making a difference in Stockport for over 10 years. We were set up originally by people who use mental health services, and a Committee of volunteers are the back-bone of our work.
We are here to represent your needs and be your voice, and we actively influence the running of mental health services in Stockport by listening to you and then feeding your comments back to managers and committees at all levels.
We aim to give ongoing support to all mental health service users through training, open forum, discussion, research and facilitation.
Our Free weekly drop-in is at The Therapy Suite, Mental Health Unit, Stepping Hill Hospital, Poplar Grove, Hazel Grove, Stockport.
When: Every Wednesday 2-4pm
Why not join us for a chat and a cuppa?
Our Free monthly Forum is held at The Well Being Centre, Chestergate, Stockport.
When: 2nd Monday of every month from 7-9pm.
We often have guest speakers at the Forum, such as Debt Advice, a specialist mental health Pharmacist or Welfare Rights. We advise members of any upcoming events they may find interesting, and listen to your comments, complaints or praise about services, so that we can pass them on to relevant authorities on your behalf.
We end the evening with a buffet and a chance to chat with other members, share your views, experiences and hopes for the future.
