BOOGIE TO THE BEAT
After performing 'encore' last year at the Key Theatre, Danzfusion return this year with the follow up 'Boogie to the Beat'. Jenna - the director of the company - has choreographed all of the numbers that appear in the show and will perform along side the adult and 'A' squad.
Danzfusion was set up by Jenna Tudor-Knibbs in September 2006 and is now in its third year with over 150 pupils. The cast is an amalgamation of youngsters and adults from many different areas of Peterborough; some faces have been with the company since it began and some new ones have joined this year. All are ready to showcase their talent and keep you glued to your seats!
'Boogie to the Beat' takes you through dances of different styles and time periods, with classics from the 80's, 90's and the present day. Expect a fresh, upbeat production that shows the cast's versatilitywith numbers such as 'Footloose', Mint Royale's version of 'Singing in the rain' and the recent Pussycat dolls hit 'When I grow up'. Prepare to be entertained as they dance acrobatic, hip hop and styled routines to 'America' from West side story, fast paced and energetic cheer leading to 'Hey Mickey' and Michael Jackson's famous track 'Beat it'.
Exclusively featured in the programme are two routines that some of the adult crew entered and performed in The UK Street Championships 2008.
Boogie to the Beat will captivate you with its high energy and fun-filled atmosphere. Come and support Danzfusion as they work to unite people through dance. Be sure to book early so you can Boogie along right from your seat, or you may get caught out by the 'Boogie police!'
