I had a lovely moment last week. Went into Maria's new shop in Cheyne Lane on a bitterly cold day. The second that I stepped into this tiny shop it felt cosily warm -- and I was surrounded by hundreds of balls of wool in all different colours, and lovely patterns, and I could have sat down in a corner with my knitting needles!
A lovely shop in a lovely town.

Just discovered this shop,1st visit on fri fantastic, Maria and Penny are so helpful and their range of wool etc is brilliant. Competitively priced too. They are so full of enthusiasm and it seems like you are talking to old friends in your living room. Will definitely be going back again, and it is well worth the travel for us (13 miles). It isnt easy to find but just ask anyone and dont give up you will not be disappointed.it is only a small shop but boy its certainly big on personality.

Mariaʼs Haberdashery and Crafts is an Aladdinʼs cave of everything you could dream of in a local craft shop. Just remember - if you canʼt see what youʼre looking for, donʼt think Maria hasnʼt got it - just ask! Your strangest request will be met with ʼjust a momentʼ and itʼll be produced from a drawer......... Thank you Maria, for making craft items available to us six days a week and not just on Fridays!

Sukies friendly and helpful staff and what a maze of bits and bobs from ribbons and cottons ,different paddings for all sorts of diy projectsTheres also some beautiful little extras,fancy buttons sequins etc,not forgetting the important party accesories and costumes Great bonus for stamford.
