Beaconside Sports centre is excellent, the staff are professional, very helpful and friendly, the facilities are good and I wouldn't go anywhere else now.
I have been coming to Beaconside Sports Centre for many years now and have always a warm welcome plus support and advice whenever needed. There is a variety of classes with fantastic instructors and an excellent gym facility which I use regularly. There is the added benefit of a sauna which is a perfect way to unwind and relax after a heavy class or gym session. The staff are warm and friendly and have the knowledge to guide you through any programme or class. There is plenty of free parking and the prices are excellent compared to the other facilities within the area. The benefit of Beaconside Sports Centre is that you won't feel intimated walking in for the first time like you do with other gyms, you will receive a warm friendly welcome and other users are very friendly. I'd highly recommend it!
One is assured of a warm welcome from the lovely Warren and his team.As a geriatric it is important that I dont get the Michael taken all the time, this does not happen at Beaconside, at least not very often.One indispensible feature of the centre is the accent on diversity.I have learnt to say welcome in about six different languages regrettably I am as yet unable to tell people to clear off with the same fluency.
I have used Beaconside Sports Centre for many years. As a power athlete I need good factilties and equipment. The equipment is well maintained and the free weights are always in good condition. The only thing I wish it had is a bigger area for the free weights. There is a 'smithy machine' and a squat rack. bench press area with supports. with Olympic barbells. The Dumbells range from 1 kg upto 40kg. The Machine weights cover the major weight training exercises along with the CV equipment. The Staff are very friendly and helpful. The prices I believe are the best in the area.The annual membership includes any of the free classes that may be going ( providing spaces are available.)The Car Park is free and there is plenty of spaces even on busy nights when the outside courts are being used. Overall the sports centre is well maintained and is very poular with local sports community
