An issue caused by a manufacturer recall repair (performed recently by the manufacturer) resulted in a failed MOT. Tackwood repaired this the MOT passed. They also provided very detailed information, including photos of the issue for me. The manufacturer garage (in St Ives) are now picking up the car at their expense to do a full investigation.

Car went in at 10am on Friday. Failed MOT. Rear pads and discs replaced without any issues and my vehicle was ready to collect by 4pm. Highly recommended

Tackwood service our minibus and we were looking to possibly expand its use for which we would require additional licences. I asked them for a quote for a vehicle test which they advised they did not have experience. They provided a detailed quote after researching the requirements, which were quite extensive and specific which enabled a decision to be made.
They were extremely helpful throughout and provided the quote within a reasonable time given the above and could not have done any more to assist and they justified our use of them.

My wife and I have been using Tackwoods for many years and have always been impressed with the quality of their service and repairs .
I have had a new heater matrix fitted to my Golf and this was carried out by the Tackwoods team at less than a quarter of the cost that VW wanted to charge . I like the fact that Sean and his team always explain what is needed and they don’t ever go looking for work that is not required ( unlike VW main dealers). You actually get to talk to people who know what they are talking about .
My VW has been troublesome since I bought it 4 years ago , but this garage have always managed to fix it .
They are equally as good with my wife’s mini .( which has been almost trouble free ) for routine servicing .
