Brilliant guy,excellent work. If you need something doing just ask Alex and you won't be disappointed. He can turn his hand to anything and his attention to detail is second to none. He always leaves the place clean at the end of each day. Normally, my wife hates the intrusion of workman in the house but it is testament to his pleasing personality and craftmanship that she was sad to see him leave at the end of 2 weeks work.
Alex was absolutely fabulous - our new en-suite is way beyond our wildest dreams. His attention to detail was amazing & he genuinely thought of everything. I cannot stress enough how much I would recommend DIY Rescue!

Alex has carried out several job in the last year, both inside and out and I've been delighted with the results everytime. He has on occasions encountered problems which have been unrelated to the task in hand but has gone the extra mile by investigating and finding a resolution, even though it has been outside his field of expertise, although i've yet to find anything he can't do (except driveways)! His workmanship is of a very high quality, he is hard working, efficient and very trustworthy. I'm so pleased to find him and am already listing future jobs I will be asking him to carry out. Asked a few local tradesmen for quotes to re seal a bathroom. Alex at DIY rescue was bar far the best in terms of communication and service and before he committed to do the job he was even happy to offer advice for free rather than just assume the job needed a professional. He gave us a quote over email and stuck to it. Good job for a fair price. We asked him to do the job and he did an excellent one! Clean, tidy (even had his own Hoover) We will use him again and recommend to others. Thanks
I can honestly say that I was more than happy to pay Alex for all the work he did for us in helping us to move house. We originally booked Alex through this site to create new plumbing for siting our washing machine in a different part of the house. When we realised he was free for a couple of days work we booked him for the whole two days as there were plenty of odd jobs (aren't there always when you move house?). Alex was an absolute godsend and enabled the move to happen without hitch. All I had to do was let Alex know what needed doing and with what priority and allow him to crack on. Alex worked extremely hard and achieved over and above what I expected to be completed. Whatever needed doing Alex could turn his hand to it and got on with it cheerfully. We will be using Alex again and we are very grateful for all his work. Thanks Alex. I recommend Alex as a trustworthy, reliable, hardworking and cheerful handyman. You couldn't ask for better!!

Over the past four years we've had a number of contractors / tradesmen in to help us renovate our house. Alex is one of, if not, the best we have used. Alex replaced the ceiling of my kitchen after a leaking tap from the bathroom upstairs caused extensive water damage. He provided a quote for the insurance company and completed the work in a timely and very professional manner. Recommended, many thanks.
Alex did a fantastic job sorting out a leaking sink and *removing an integrated dishwasher, plus some work in the bathroom. We were most impressed by his efficiency and nice nature. Plus his rates were very reasonable. Highly recommended. * Just to be clear - removed out of its setting (not taken away!) ready for it to be disposed of once we get a new one.
Alex did some work in our downstairs toilet. He was punctual, polite and a very tidy worker. The result was very good. We are really pleased with the work and would certainly not have any hesitation in using him again or recommending him to others.
Alex recently completed a kitchen installation after we had to take the guys we had in originally off the job due to very poor workmanship. When we called Alex, we needed the work done as soon as possible as we had been without a kitchen for some time. Alex did a fantastic job, and worked around several hidden challenges that did not become apparent until work was underway - this was all because of hidden issues from the previous cowboys. In every instance, Alex took the time to explain the issues and provide different options for resolution, before cracking on and getting the job completed to a high standard. As a result, Alex was able to rescue the situation and provide us a great kitchen that had not been compromised. I would recommend without hesitation, and will be using DIY Rescue again in the future.

Alex has recently carried out work to re-fit my ensuite bathroom. It looks absolutely fabulous and I am extremely pleased with it. Alex gave a neighbour and me a quote for 4 bays of fence which were blown over and which snapped the wooden posts. He quoted for replacement post of concrete and where possible replace the fence with the existing fence or new where necessary. I know how good Alex is and was not disappointed by his quick and professional work. Very impressed yet again.
