Nestled in picturesque countryside on the outskirts on St Neots over two sites approximately half a mile apart is the Abbotsley Golf Club – a stunning golf venue that features two 18 hole golf courses – the Abbotsley and the Cromwell – a 9 hole, par 3 course, driving range, two pro shops offering equipment and golf tuition, plus a hotel, restaurant, bar, fitness centre and squash courts.
The Driving range is covered, floodlit with left and right handed bays, some have power tees too.
There is also grass driving range area (weather permitting)
With easy access to the region’s major transport links, Abbotsley Golf Club offers golfers of all ages and abilities the opportunity to learn basic skills, fine tune your game and enjoy a round of golf in beautiful surroundings.
Abbotsley Golf Course (Old Course)
The Abbotsley is the venue’s original golf course, which was designed in 1975 and then adapted and added to by Vivien Saunders, renowned coach, leading lady golfer and former British Women’s Open Champion.
With its tight fairways and fast, undulating greens, the 18 hole, par 72 course offers golfers a challenging game, with holes running through woodland, lakes and ponds.
The Cromwell Pay and Play Course
The newer, par 70, 18 hole Cromwell course is a more forgiving, open option, which offers stunning views across the Huntingdonshire countryside – ideal for the less experienced player.
The Huntingdonshire Par 3 Course
Small in stature but grand in name, the Huntingdonshire is the perfect course for beginners, those feeling a little rusty or better players looking to hone their short game skills.
NEW Footgolf on the par 3 Course
Footgolf is a new sport which whilst follows the rules of golf, substitutes a football and footballing skills for a golf ball and swing (and yes the holes are bigger)! Cost £6 adults £3.50 for juniors for 9 holes. 18 holes: £9.50 adults and £7.00 children

We were very impressed with the set up here. The food was fantastic and the staff very friendly and helpful. There is a very relaxed atmosphere. As a group of nine golfers we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will absolutely return.

Saw the Footgolf event on The Best of St Neots for Sunday and decided to give it a go with my friends.. It was fantastic, great fun and really not as easy as we thought, We will be back and i would recommend you have a go..
All staff were very helpful and eager to please. Food at dinner and breakfast was very good. Efficient friendly service provided throughout. Bar staff - Outstanding, very friendly and professional. rooms clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend for future customers and return. Played both courses that were in very good shape.

Has everything to challenge one's golf round: tight/open fairways, slopes downhill/uphill, raised tiered greens, ponds & streams, elevated Tee boxes. Very well kept course and superb condition even in Winter time. The hotel is a convenient place to stay when golfing for a few days at Abbotsley. Good value for money. The bar / restaurant: very handy for a relaxing drink after a challenging round or before a meal where choice is varied and food well prepared and presented. The Bars were "buzzing" in midweek considering you are in a Golf Course Bar in the middle of Cambridgeshire in the middle of winter, professional and friendly staff.Then the tuition - from a woman & personal point of view, TUITION IS THE HIGHLIGHT of one's stay at Abbotsley. I personally found the BEST GOLF TEACHING ever in my 6 years of golfing. Chris has such a talent & fun way to make you a better golfer. Chris has contributed to making my present golf game an enjoyable experience even as a high handicapper, but steadily going down now. After tuition/game, Chris will always join in for a drink, or sing along song and makes every one most welcome. I highly recommend any Clinic/stay at Abbotsley. I cannot wait to return for more fun.
I am not a golf member at Abbotsley or Cromwell however I am a member of the Academy. This is simply to say that the support and guidance offered by Richard and Gareth is just brilliant. I have been having trouble with my golf game for some time now and have had courses of lessons with various professionals without much success. For the first time ever I truly feel that there is a team helping me with the problems that I have. Richard is a fantastic coach, but with the addition of Gareth, the team is unbelievable. I know that most people only take the trouble to write when they are not satisfied with things. Quite the opposite here.
I stayed at your hotel last weekend with the Cobtree Manor GC group, booked under Mandy Taylor. Just wanted to tell you that my partner and I had a fantastic stay and thoroughly enjoyed playing both golf courses. In particular I would like to mention your Duty Manager, Sam, who did a brilliant job looking after everyone. I understand there were 3 groups in over the weekend and she did a great job looking after everyone and making us all feel very welcome. Nothing seemed to bother her and she has a very hospitable manner. All of your staff were extremely professional and helpful, but Sam seemed to set a great example of "going the extra mile". The golf courses were lovely and challenging to play and even though the wind was a bit on the strong side, we all managed to get round ok....well maybe I'll admit to losing my ball in the water on that dastardly 11th hole. Many thanks for a lovely weekend.
