Whether you are local to the area or taking your holiday in Southwold, the Angel Inn offers a lovely environment in which to relax, eat and drink. Like the very best local public houses, bars and inns, the Angel Inn has excellent service and a great menu of traditional food. As a Free House, they serve excellent Real Ales including Adnams and many others which will be appreciated by real ale drinkers.
With seven beautiful bedrooms available stunning including the delightful Southwold Suite for special occasions, this 16th Century building is also a warm and welcoming Bed & Breakfast. Just three miles from Southwold, this stunning inn is a perfect base from which to explore the area.
Owners Steve and Diane have obviously put a lot of thought and care into the Angel Inn. They have set up vibrant evenings in the bar with live music performances, quizzes and even a curry night. In the summer their lovely beer garden welcomes children and dogs and is a wonderful place to spend an afternoon with the family.
The Angel Inn was awarded a four star Visit Britain tourism award, a coveted accolade for excellent pubs and venues. We can certainly confirm the excellent quality, obvious attention to detail and care that the owners have put in - from the beautiful bedrooms, the welcoming bar and the lovely beer garden, the Angel Inn is definately worth a visit.

The food is amazing, and the variety on the specials board is outstanding, the staff are always entertaining and the ambient music is fab
The food and drink is great, and the music, quiz and other events are too (especially Wangfest) but also Steve and the crew get involved with the local community which is really nice in our small village.
