Lesley White is a truly inspirational music teacher. She has taught all three of my children to each play a different instrument. My oldest son has passed Grade 8 Saxophone thanks to Lesley. He found theory very hard with previous teachers, but lesley made the difference, so he was able to pass and succeed thanks to her hard work. My middle son plays flute, again passing at Grade 8, both boys are now at university where they have found their knowledge of music invaluable. My daughter is lucky to be learning the Violin with Lesley, she is 14 and already moving on to study grade 6 and grade 4 theory. Lesley is a superb music teacher and I would never hesitate to recommend her to anyone.

I have been a pupil of Lesleyʼs for 4 years. As someone now in his seventies who took up the piano on retirement, I have found her teaching approach very ordered and thorough but always carried out with enthusiasm, patience and encouragement. I have made good progress and am very grateful to her for her contribution to that.

I have received viola tuition from Lesley for four years after taking up the instrument as a beginner in my middle age. Learning to play is very challenging but Lesley has helped me greatly by teaching me music theory in addition to playing technique. Her calm and patient manner, her musical expertise and her use of studies and well known pieces make lessons interesting snd enjoyable. I would recommend Lesley very highly to anyone interested in learning to play an instrument.

I have been attending violin lessons with Lesley White for the past eight years. With a lot of hard work and determination she enabled me to accomplish grade six in musical performance on the violin. She has also assisted me with music theory which has certainly helped me with my A level music and allowed me to pass my grad five theory with distinction.
In 2005 I also decided to have piano lessons in order to improve my knowledge and understanding of harmony and counterpoint, as these are specific areas taught on the A level course. Since then I have achieved my grade three piano with distinction and am currently looking forward to grade four.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my lessons with Lesley. She is a very patient, understanding teacher and will always help her pupils to the best of her ability. She has been a real inspiration and I intend to continue playing music at Lancaster University in September 2007.
