Temporary lane closure – Priory Crescent, Southend
15th March 2013
... Comments

Residents are advised of a temporary lane closure in Priory Crescent, Southend, on Wednesday 20th March for essential tree works.

The westbound carriageway of Priory Crescent, along its north boundary with Priory Park, will be closed from 9:30am until 3:30pm.

During this closure, vehicles will be prohibited from entering, waiting, loading or unloading on the westbound lane of Priory Crescent between its junction with the Eastern Avenue / southern leg of Priory Crescent and the A127 Cuckoo Corner Roundabout.

Westbound traffic will be diverted onto the lower, southern section of Priory Crescent. To avoid delays motorists may also wish to use alternative routes using Sutton Road, Priory Avenue and East Street.

The temporary closure is necessary to allow Southend-on-Sea Borough Council’s arboricultural contractor to carry out essential tree work safely in this section of the park and the highway. This work is part of an ongoing tree care project.
