My name is Martin Rowe, a fully qualified and highly experienced full time PRIVATE TUTOR.  Working from my family home, I offer specialist, graduate individual tuition to students seeking additional lessons, to improve levels of academic attainment and personal confidence.  Since 1984, I have built excellent working partnerships with a number of local independent and maintained schools, colleges and universities.  I pride myself on providing a highly stimulating academic environment within a framework of positive encouragement and direction.

ACADEMIC CAREER PROFILE:

Born in Southampton in 1964,  I was educated at The Gregg School, Richard Taunton VI Form College and was awarded a B.A. in English and History from the University of Southampton.   Following university,  I joined Wessex Tutors (Tutorial College) in Southampton, providing private tuition to  pupils mainly from the independent sector , in BUSINESS STUDIES, ECONOMICS, ENGLISH, HISTORY, POLITICS and PUBLIC SPEAKING.  I was also engaged by Home-School Tutoring (Tutorial Agency) , Fleet Tutors (Tutorial Agency) and lectured for a number of local colleges of higher education.

Throughout my working career, I have continued my own courses of academic study.  I was successful in being awarded a Bachelor of Commerce and Master of Arts degree, in economics, from American universities.  My doctorate combined a study of history and economics and concentrated on price inflation during the reign of Henry VIII.

I provide individual private tuition to G.C.S.E., ADVANCED and UNDERGRADUATE LEVEL in:-

As a result of working from my family home,  I am extremely flexible concerning my availablitiy.

• DAYTIME TUITION
• AFTER SCHOOL OR COLLEGE TUITION (from 5pm)
• EVENING LESSONS
• WEEKEND TUITION
• CHRISTMAS EASTER & SUMMER HOLIDAY LESSONS

FEES:

All tuition fees are based on the duration time of the tutorial and not the age of the individual receiving the tuition.  This is never less than 1 hour.  However, I always aim to meet the personal and financial constraints of both student and parent.

The current hourly rate for all tuition is £25 with significant reductions if a termly course of instruction is booked in advance.
