Susie Ankrett, Director of Solihull based Recruitment Consultancy Plum Personnel attended one of the most significant events to take place in recent times in the UK’s private recruitment industry.

The launch of the Institute of Recruitment Professionals (IRP) took place in London and was attended by key members of the recruitment industry.

Susie commented, “As an REC Regional Directors I feel privileged to be part of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation’s (REC) new Institute of Recruitment Professionals.  It’s a revolutionary new development for the recruitment industry.”

Susie added, “Through the Institute, recruitment professionals will have access to the training, the knowledge, the support and advice to deliver excellent recruitment to companies.  The Institute will also give every recruiter in the land the professional identity, the credibility, the confidence and the pride that comes with belonging to a recognised profession.”

All IRP members will sign up the IRP’s Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct which will show both clients and candidates that they practice the very highest standards of principled and professional recruitment.

Susie added, “Recruitment is a dynamic, fast-moving and exciting profession and the IRP will not only ensure that all recruiters are given the opportunity to be individually recognised as part of the profession but it will also demonstrate to clients their professionalism and commitment to delivering the best possible service at all times.”
