THREE new key partners have been announced for the annual Knowle Fun Run – which takes place on Sunday, May 15 this year.
The event, organised by Knowle and Dorridge Lions, sees thousands of people taking to the streets of Knowle to both take part in and support the event from the roadside.
Every year the event raises thousands of pounds for a selection of major charities and a variety of smaller local causes.
This year’s three main benefactors are the Lily Mae Foundation, Solihull Bereavement Counselling Service and Children’s Liver Disease Foundation.
Each year the event relies on key sponsors to help run it and ensure all the money raised goes to the good causes.
And three new sponsors have been announced for the 2016 event.
They are Eric Lyons butchers who will be cooking the BBQ hot dogs at Arden Academy, David Lloyd who will provide the pre-event warm-up for fun-runners and Taylor Wimpey who will be sponsoring the course through the village.
