Helping Derek W a 4Networking member:
I managed to salvage £39,000 for Derek W from his pension. After being badly advised by another IFA to reinvest his company pension in a private scheme, Derek’s pension had shrunk at an alarming rate. He had appealed to the financial watchdog Sesame and the appeal had been rejected. I was able to construct a case that the advice on the level of risk in moving the fund had been misleading. The Financial Ombudsman ruled in Derek’s favour and he received a cheque for £39,000.
